Getting admission in Delhi University has always been a dream for most of the Indian students. The hard work of class twelfth finally pays off when a student hits the highest mind-blowing cut-offs, and enter into a DU college.
Delhi College of arts and commerce, commonly known as DCAC, is one of the top colleges in south campus. It ranks at number seventh college in the list of best colleges of Delhi University. The College was established in 1987 under the aegis of the Delhi Administration. It is a premier institution situated in the central location of Netaji Nagar. The area of the campus is around 5 acres, with a built-up area of around 2.5 acres. A total of 18 undergraduate courses are offered in this college excluding a few add-on and self-financed courses.
Unlike the mainstream red brick-coloured building, DCAC has off whitish coloured infrastructure divided into new and old wings. There is a total of three floors in the college building (excluding the terrace). The library occupies two floors, with air conditioning available on one of the floors. Classes and washrooms are average in terms of area and cleanliness. There is one air-conditioned multipurpose room. Also known as a meeting room in the old building where admission procedures, orientations, and important social events take place.
When students enter the college through the main entrance gate, one can see a garden, where students mostly chill in sunlight during winters. Moving further, waling straight into the campus, there comes canteen. Affordable and stomach filling Food is available in the canteen, pav bhaji, dosa, chowmein, and malt beer being the most liked among the students. For relief from lectures, students usually relax at the sitting area in front of the canteen, a mixture of cemented walls and grassy alley. You can look at various eye-catching gratifies in that area, it’s a picturesque point of the college to click exclusive campus photos.
Going forward to academics and social interactions in the college, there exists a lot of societies, offering many opportunities for students to enhance their talent. “Rokda: The finance society”, “Enactus”, “Mercado: The marketing society” are few of the most popular societies of DCAC.

To explore outside the college, students can go to Satya Niketan either by auto-rickshaw (takes 7-10 mins) or catch the metro to Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus metro station. Café coffee day by Taj and Sangam courtyard can also be preferred for sneaking out.
Bikaji Cama Place and INA are the nearest metro stations to reach college. Hygienic and walkable distant PGs are available at cheap prices in the new Moti Bagh, which is a residential area, quite close to the college. The usual cut-offs of the college range from 93% to 97% (for general category). This college is considered of the very dignified in Delhi university. The Flats and PG’s are readily available in the price ranging from INR 6000 to INR 15000.
