All about MSC

Back

The establishment of MSC dates back to 1967 and ever since then, it has been propagating the message of leadership, service, social responsibility and academic pursuits among young women. Yes, the college is a women only institution with all the seats being reserved to uplift the standard of female education in the country.

The college offers 32 courses in 7 streams and 8 specializations which are pretty pocket friendly with exceptional specialization is BA (program) and Bachelor of sciences (Bsc.) The faculty of the college are worth appreciating and are particularly serious with respect to the academic and curricular performances of the students. The infrastructure of the campus is well equipped with all the necessary requirements for the students to conduct their educational, cultural and sport related activities. The college has a ground at the back to conduct sports activities and otherwise too is open for the use of students at all times. The infrastructure of the college demands a little upgradation that the authorities have duly taken into account. The biggest infrastructural highlight for the institution has to be its canteen and auditorium as it is much bigger than any other college in Delhi University. Just like any other institution that is a part of Delhi University, MSC also has a wide variety of societies that a student can be a part of and learn various different things from, whether it is the theatre society, the gidda society, the philosophy society or the commerce society.

When it comes to life around MSC, some major attractions are the doll museum, Connaught place and Janpath where you can go around with friends, grab some delicious bites and tick off all the items from your shopping list. MSC is pretty easy to commute to, and it also has the ITO metro station at a walking distance from its campus along with the ITO bus stop as a means to commute.

The college does not provide hostel facilities but you need not worry as you can easily find a barrage of PGs in ITO and Laxmi Nagar which is duly connected via buses and metro that you can rent to solve this problem. The prices for the same will vary based on the amenities provided but upon observation, the average amount that you will have to pay if you rent a PG from Houseitt is going to be around 5000 INR per month.
