Intern Diaries

Back

“The time I spent working with HouseItt has been by far one of the most learning experiences. This experience has taught me more than I could have imagined. My duties as an intern were diverse and ever-changing. I worked for business development, made some excellent business plans and strategies, looking for opportunities around and grabbing them, interviewing new team members. Sometimes it’s tough to recall everything I have taken in over the past months, but I feel that these are some of the most beneficial lessons I have learned.

I was blessed to have the sweetest group of people working with me. Collaboration is better than the competition. In internships, there is always a streak of competition, to outperform others. But my fellow interns never felt like that. We worked together as a team, and not just for work, we’ve got a thousand inside stories as well. We’ve stalked people together, we’ve exchanged memes, and yes, we’ve been 3 am buddies.

I have had the time of my life, and it wouldn't have been possible without HouseItt. I look forward to working with them again.”

“I got to know about HouseItt via the placement cell of my college. I applied for the internship and Rajat bhaiya connected with me for an interview. I was scared and was not confident. The interview didn’t go as per my expectations. I felt like I messed it up. But fortunately, I got selected.

My past internship experiences weren’t great. Those were all about cold calling, sales, and getting this number of likes or that number of followers. I was prepared for the same kind of tasks but to my surprise, this one was nothing like that. I was given tasks that actually taught me something and helped me grow professionally.

It’s a great learning environment. I have developed leadership qualities and my communication skills have improved. I have much more confidence now when I talk to someone. Rajat Bhaiya is like a mentor. You can call him anytime, he is always up for any help.

Initially, my internship was of only a month but I would love to continue working in such a conducive environment.”

“My journey with HouseItt has been incredible. I came to know about HouseItt through a creativity contest that they organized. I gathered the courage to participate in that. Luckily, I won the competition and got the offer to be a part of their Creative Team. My role was to come up with content ideas for marketing of HouseItt. I learned so much from the team and the heads and did a pretty decent job and was promoted to the post of Ideation Manager. I wouldn’t have been where I’m today if I hadn’t participated in that contest. So, I thank god for making me do that.

The atmosphere of the company is filled with creativity and enthusiasm which further motivates me to think out of the box. The team, the heads, the founders are so supportive at each step. It’s because of this internship that I’ve learned so much and gained so much confidence. I hope I continue performing best of my capability to take HouseItt to new heights.”

“I don’t know what to say. I joined HouseItt as a marketing intern one month back. I had to work for the posts to be put on Instagram and other social media sites. With everyone’s encouragement and support, I performed well and eventually became the Social Media Manager.

But that was not it, I wanted to learn something new, to try out more things. I talked about the same with Rajat Bhaiya and Bharat Bhaiya. They’re really the coolest heads ever. They are so down to earth. They understood my passion and asked me to work for Business Development, wherein we develop strategies to come up for the growth of the business. I agreed.

From the first day to today, there isn’t one day when I felt my job tiring or unexciting. The skillset that I have developed wouldn’t have been possible without HouseItt. Houseitt has literally become like a home to me and all the members are like a family. People are appreciated for the tiniest task they do. If someone makes a mistake, they are always shown the right path.

I learned a lot about Startup culture, and myself during my time there. Interning abroad was definitely the best decision I've ever made.”
